Young people matter to us

Youth and education have always been priorities for the caisse. Our advisors' role includes informing young people about the Desjardins products and services developed especially for them.

Services for our youth clientele

The caisse has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. That's why we're so enthusiastic about the massive effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

School Caisse

To help children start developing sound savings habits at a young age, the caisse actively supports the educational School Caisse service offered at several Trois-Rivières elementary schools. Learn more about the School Caisse.

Personal Finance: I'm in Charge program

Are you between 16 and 25? Do you want to take control of your finances and make sound consumer choices? Then Personal Finance: I'm in Charge® is just what you're looking for. You'll learn more about things that matter to you, such as:

  • Buying decisions
  • Cellphones
  • Education and work
  • Budgeting
  • Financial services

Thanks to the collaboration of the caisse, free 2-hour group workshops are offered by local community partners and educational institutions.

We take a dynamic approach that gets you involved. You'll interact through a variety of hands-on activities and exercises.

Youth dividends

The caisse is proud to support the savings efforts of its young members. Every year, youth dividends are paid out to hundreds of young people through the Community Development Fund.

Desjardins Foundation scholarships

The caisse contributes to Desjardins Foundation, which gives out over a half million dollars in scholarships each year. Keep an eye out for the application period and apply for a scholarship. The Foundation supports students in high school, vocational school, CEGEP and university in all regions of Quebec. Learn more about the Desjardins Foundation.

Mauricie caisses scholarship program

The caisses in the Mauricie region offer a scholarship program that rewards academic excellence and community involvement for post-secondary students under 30. You can apply on the Desjardins Foundation scholarship platform between March 1 and 31 every year.
