Caisse Desjardins de Beloeil–Mont-Saint-Hilaire has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.
For Caisse Desjardins de Beloeil–Mont-Saint-Hilaire, education is the engine of sustainable prosperity. This is why it launched a scholarship program for high school, vocational school, CEGEP and university students. The caisse also organizes a volunteer involvement grant program
Since 2005, the scholarship program has provided financial assistance to 2,500 young people and helped them carry out their academic projects and pursue their studies until they graduate. In 2023, 112 young people received a total of $75,000 in scholarships.
The caisse also contributes to the Desjardins Foundation, which awarded $2.5 million in scholarships this year. The Desjardins Foundation supports 475,000 young people through its various programs every year. In 2023, 16 student caisse members were awarded a total of $33,500 in Desjardins Foundation scholarships.
To pave the way for new directors, the caisse participates in the Young Intern Director Program. The program gives young people an opportunity to further their studies by actively taking part in board meetings, but without voting rights.
