Youth

Desjardins has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why Caisse Desjardins Pierre-Boucher is so enthusiastic about the concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

Our youth advisors are dedicated to serving young members of our caisse, whether they are at the elementary, secondary, CEGEP or university level or new to the workforce.

They can guide them over the course of their school and early work career to help them achieve their dreams and effectively manage their savings.

Scholarships

Every year, Desjardins awards hundreds of scholarships to recognize the hard work you put into your studies.

With a single application, you'll have access to several Desjardins Group scholarship programs. Your applications will automatically be forwarded to the ones you're eligible for, so you’ll have greater chances of getting a scholarship!

Intern Director Program

The program allows young people ages 18 to 30 to become familiar with the role of administrator through a 1-year internship on a caisse Board of Directors, where they can sit on working committees and task forces, propose new ways to improve services to young people, and finally, contribute to the development of the Caisse and community while building a network of personal and professional contacts.

To be eligible for the program, aspiring candidates must:

  • be between the ages of 18 and 30
  • be a member of the Desjardins caisse where they want to do their internship
  • make a serious commitment to attending Board of Directors meetings and activities
  • commit in writing to respect the laws, by-laws, and rules of ethics that govern the Caisse

CRÉAVENIR

Designed to support young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35, the CRÉAVENIR Rive-Sud program helps finance projects that don't qualify for traditional commercial financing. Without requiring the usual down payments and guarantees, participating caisses help young entrepreneurs create working capital or provide them with an interest-free loan repayable as of the second year only.
