Quebecers and their automobiles A love story

When spring arrives, people go car crazy, and Quebecers are no exception to this rule. To wit, just over 4.5 million passenger vehicles owned by individuals were circulating on Quebec’s roads at the end of 2013. This number increased despite the congestion of automobiles in urban centres, repeated calls for action from environmentalists, ever-rising gas prices and the increasing availability of alternative transportation methods (bus, metro, car-sharing services, taxis, taxibus, Bixi, extended cycling paths, etc.).
