Desjardins donates $50,000 to the Red Cross to support emergency aid for earthquake victims in Morocco

Montreal, September 10, 2023 – Desjardins Group has teamed up with the Canadian Red Cross, donating $50,000 to the Morocco Earthquake Appeal in response to the disaster.

"We're deeply saddened by the loss of life and the damage caused by this devastating event. We want to offer our full support to those who need it most," said Guy Cormier, President and CEO of Desjardins Group. "Our thoughts are with those directly affected and their loved ones."

Donations made to this fund will enable the Red Cross to provide relief, recovery, and resiliency activities in Morocco in response to this natural disaster.

Desjardins is eliminating fees for international money transfers to Morocco from September 9 to 30, 2023, to make it easier to send funds to those in need and help with the country's recovery efforts.
