Montreal, February 28, 2022 – Desjardins is pleased to welcome Randall Bartlett to its economics team as Senior Director, Canadian Economics. Mr. Bartlett will report to Chief Economist Jimmy Jean and help him build an excellent analytics program focused on the Canadian economy and the provinces.

Randall Bartlett will join the Toronto team covering regional analysis and fiscal policy, which will only strengthen Desjardins's economic expertise. Mr. Bartlett has strong research expertise in forecasting, Canadian and provincial budget analysis, modeling and a wide range of experience," said Jimmy Jean, Vice-President of Desjardins Economic Studies.
Before coming to Desjardins, Mr. Bartlett was the Director of Economic Research on OMERS' Total Portfolio Management Team, where he was responsible for global economic research and forecasting.
Prior to that, he was the Chief Economist at the Institute of Fiscal Studies and Democracy, where he published Canadian economic, fiscal, and policy analysis. He has also held positions at PSP Investment, TD Economics, the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer and the federal Department of Finance.
Mr. Bartlett holds a BA in Mathematical Economics from the University of Guelph and an MA in Economics from the University of Toronto. He also holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
