Use AccèsD securely
All our members and clients are covered by Desjardins Identity Protection.
Password
- Never disclose your password to anyone. You should be the only one who knows it.
- The first time you use AccèsD service, choose a password to replace the one you were assigned initially.
- Your password should be between 8 and 128 characters.
- Your password can contain one or more uppercase or lowercase letters, numbers or special characters, and it can be made up of multiple words with or without spaces.
- The advice that appears under the New password field can help you create a more secure password.
- Your password can be used to log in from a computer, tablet or smartphone. It cannot be used to log in by phone.
- For help choosing a secure AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires password, see Choose a good password.
- Don't choose a password based on personal information. And most of all never use any part of your PIN.
- Don't save your password in your computer's memory.
- Don't write your password down anywhere.
- Change your password on a regular basis.
2-step verification
- In addition to your password, you'll need to provide a single-use security code when you sign in. This adds an extra layer of security to your AccèsD account or AccèsD Affaires file.
- Once you've entered your password, a security code will be sent to you by text, push notification or phone call.
- Enter the single-use security code you receive to access your accounts.
- If you don't want to enter a code every time you log in, you can choose how often we ask you for one in your AccèsD settings.
Logging out
Log out as soon as you've finished using AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires.
To log out securely, click on Log out, clear your cookies and close your browser.
If you clear your cookies, you'll be required to use 2-step verification the next time you log in from the same device or browser.
This security procedure is particularly important if you share the computer you use to make transactions with others.
