Desjardins Structured University Internship Program

The structured university internship program is a 12- to 15-week remunerated internship in a Desjardins caisse. These internships are only in the financial advisory sector.

Internships are offered in the Centre-du-Québec, Estrie, Mauricie and Richelieu-Yamaska regions. Other regions will be added to the list soon. See Available internships.

Objectives

Selected students will have the opportunity to take part in the program's 3 internships to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the entire length of their training.

  • Level 1: Training on savings and consumer credit products and services.
  • Level 2: Training on intermediate notions related to financial advisory.
  • Level 3: Training on advanced notions related to financial advisory and allowing interns to experiment with more concrete cases.

Profile sought and requirements

An intern at Desjardins must:

  • have excellent interpersonal communications skills;
  • be both customer- and results-oriented;
  • show autonomy and perseverance;
  • have sound judgment;
  • be able to negotiate;
  • be registered in the Bachelor of Business Administration program (minor in accounting, finances, marketing or human resources).
