How does it work?

  • If you’re diagnosed with one of the covered illnesses or require surgery or long-term care, you’ll receive a benefit you can use however you want
  • After the diagnosis, you’ll be paid the tax-free benefit immediately—no waiting period applies, except for cardiovascular conditions and procedures where a survival period of 30 days is applicable[ 1 ] note note
  • Get coverage for each of your children for 26 covered illnesses and up to 6 childhood diseases so you can take time off to be with them while they’re receiving treatment
