General information
Just like every other business in Canada, we’re also feeling the impact of the situation at Canada Post, which has consequences that are beyond our control.
We know the situation is causing a great deal of inconvenience. We want to assure you that we’re doing everything we can to lessen the impact on our members and clients. We’re working hard to get documents and cards out as quickly as possible. We’re sending thousands of cards out every day using private courier services.
What you can do to reduce impacts
If you haven’t already done so, we recommend signing up for our online services. That way, you can log in to view your documents on Desjardins sites, like AccèsD or Desjardins Insurance.

All of the obligations in your contracts—including your financial obligations—are still in effect. You must comply with them despite the situation at Canada Post, so it’s important that you make your payments on time.
You don’t need to contact us or take any additional steps.
Information for cardholders
As a reminder, cards are valid until the last day of the expiry month. For example, if you have a card that expires in January, you can keep using it until January 31, 2025.
And if your card is damaged or doesn’t work, you can continue to use contactless payment on your mobile device and shop online.

General FAQ
Canada Post resumed postal services on December 17, 2024. It will take some time to clear the backlog of mail. We’re monitoring the situation and will continue to use private couriers to avoid further delays.
Desjardins is using private courier services to send cards and documents, but some delays can still be expected.
We’re using private couriers to mail out debit cards, credit cards and other documents as soon as possible. However, we can’t provide tracking numbers or confirm the date of reception.
If you haven’t already done so, we recommend signing up for our online services. That way, you can log in to view your documents on Desjardins sites, like AccèsD or Desjardins Insurance.

Account statements will be mailed once the situation at Canada Post has ended. Some delays can be expected.
We encourage you to register for online services in order to view your documents on AccèsD.
For the time being, we can’t predict when you'll receive it. Desjardins is using private couriers, but some delays can still be expected.
Your card is still valid until the last day of the expiry month. For example, if you have a card that expires in January, you can keep using it until January 31, 2025.
You still need to make your minimum payment before the due date on your statement, even if postal service is interrupted. You can find out your balance, minimum payment and due date on AccèsD, by calling the number on the back of your card or in person.
If you haven't already done so, we recommend signing up for our online services to view your documents on AccèsD.
You can order cheques, but they’ll be sent once the situation at Canada Post has ended. There will be delays, and we can’t confirm when you’ll receive them.
We recommend contacting the appropriate government agencies or checking their websites to find out what their arrangements are.
We suggest that you also set up direct deposit, since it's a secure and efficient way to get paid. You can sign up for direct deposits from the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec directly on AccèsD or in person at your caisse or branch.
We recommend that you contact your Desjardins advisor.
If you have a “5-in-1” Yearly Rate Resetter mortgage, you'll receive your annual notice once the situation at Canada Post has ended.
